Elle Annie extensions
Elle Annie extensions are crafted from 100% virgin human hair, which unprocessed, allowing for the freedom to color, perm, or bleach as desired. We strongly recommend seeking the expertise of a salon professional when processing our hair extensions. To ensure the longevity of their superb quality, it is essential to wash, dry, and treat them with the same care as you would your natural hair.
Our Professional Tip
Washing my extensions:
Below are the recommended steps to follow when washing your hair extensions in a professional manner:
1. Begin by wetting your hair and using a paddle brush or wide-tooth comb to detangle it.
2. Use a sulphate-free shampoo to lather your hair in a downward motion with your palms. It is important to avoid crinkling or scrunching your extensions during this process.
3. After washing your hair with shampoo, apply a moisturizing conditioner and massage it throughout your scalp with your fingertips.
4. Rinse the conditioner out of your scalp thoroughly.
5. It is recommended to wash your extensions no more than twice a week.
6. Between normal hair washes, use a co-wash or wash your hair solely with conditioner to preserve its quality.
7. Allow your hair to air-dry before styling it.
Maintaining my extensions:
-
Detangle hair with a shampoo comb daily.
-
Reduce tangling by wrapping a scarf around the hair before sleeping.
Special care for curly hair, Kinky hair, and Afro Kinky curls:
-
Always use a spray bottle filled with water when styling your hair, as it is very absorbent.
-
Wash your hair more often with conditioner only, instead of with both shampoo and conditioner.
-
Use a detangling hairbrush or a wide -tooth comb, to smooth and better define curls, while hair is still wet.
-
Allow hair to air-dry whenever possible to get best curl results.
-
Using fingers only, detangle hair daily - avoid using any detangling hair tools or accessories, other than your fingers.
-
Use sulphate-free shampoo to remove built up hair products.
-
Use leave-in conditioner when styling hair, to prevent it from drying up and breaking.
-
Use a deep treatment conditioner at least once a week to preserve your curl pattern and to prolong the life of the extensions.
Maintaining my kinky straight 'Natural Blow Out' extensions:
-
Detangle hair daily with a wide-tooth comb or a paddle brush.
-
A conditioner only wash is not required before using this style of extensions.
-
The life of the extensions is much longer when less water and products are used on it.
-
We recommend washing the hair with conditioner only. If shampoo must be used, a sulphate-free shampoo is recommended.
